Louisa at Six Months!

Louisa, also known as Baby K, Kranshie, Little Louisa, Loulou, Baby Sister,  Louisabear, Weezabear and Weasel.

She has two brand spanking new teeth. I'd take a picture, but it's not easy to get the fingers out of her mouth.

She'll take them out if you ask her nicely, but she's not happy about it.

She recently swiped a tomato from my plate - I guess it's time to introduce solid foods?

 "Happy Birthday to YOU!"

 "To me?"

"To Yooouuu!"

Fletcher and Dallas ate her cupcake for her.

She contented herself with a spoon...

 ...until...

...she saw the cup.

 She really, really wanted it.

I mean, it's a great cup.

We are not actually cruel people, and we did, in fact, give her the cup. Eventually.

Back to the Capitol

We've been going on lots of afternoon adventures lately to take advantage of the glorious spring weather. We also plan fun trips to celebrate potty poops. Whose? None of your business.

At Fletcher's request, we went to the Capitol. We pass by it almost every day and he's been curious about it. We brought his pal Dump Truck with us to check it out. Dump Truck, for the record, is part of the car family that lives in Fletcher's summer home.

We've told him that we brought him here to celebrate his first birthday with some stair climbing, which was his favorite hobby at the time.

According to my son, this heart on the floor is "sleeping". Yeah, I don't see it either.

Never in my life did I predict that I would give birth to two native Texans. And yet here they are...

 ...and they're adorable.

We climbed lots of stairs. Lots and lots of stairs. Then we decided to take a break on a landing for  while - Dump Truck needed to build some stuff.

I convinced Dump Truck that outside was a better "astruction" site.
