All Hallow's Eve Eve

We celebrated the day before Halloween with some pumpkin carving (not actually all that popular) and Fletcher's second annual Howl-O-Ween party (very popular, except for that "costume" part).

He was willing to scoop seeds out of the pumpkin for the photo op, but for the most part he seemed to find it somewhat icky.

He did like holding up the pumpkin's carved out smile, though.

And he really liked feeding the pumpkin guts to the chickens next door...

...even if they can be a little intimidating at times. He said "Go away, chicken!", but it didn't seem to do much good.
Getting a chicken's eye view of the world.

We did some artwork while we waited for our friends to arrive.

We threw a few beach balls around the yard to burn off some extra energy.

Fletcher was supposed to be the Cowardly Lion. I only managed to get a few photos of him in the twenty seconds that he was willing to wear his costume - and it's only because he was distracted by his beloved bicycle.

Fletcher was willing to get back in the lion suit for this photo if and only if I sat on the swing with him while his father, Mike, Lisa, Aaron, Jessica, Mo and Kyle called his name and cheered for him. It's how I imagine working with J.Lo might be.

And then a flying monkeydog arrived and broke up the party.
