Out and About

I haven't been able to keep up with the blog very well lately; we've been busy, busy people. Here's what we've been up to:

 We've been going for walks.
 We voted.
We checked out experimental, solar-heated doghouses with Sabina.

We decorated a pumpkin.

We went to an in-store performance by the Old 97's at Waterloo Records...

...while chewing on a plastic giraffe...

...who needed to see the camera up close (and apparently annoyed our neighbor).

He practiced climbing while wearing high heels - more useful than you might expect, actually.

And he kicked back with an (empty) can of Tecate.

And then there was the event known as "The Shaving Cream Incident".

There were train rides with friends old...

...and new. That's "Pumpkin", Fletcher's beloved washcloth/puppet. Pumpkin goes many places with us lately. Fletcher likes it if Pumpkin provides running commentary on everything that's going on. Pumpkin is very excitable and speaks in a squeaky voice. Fletcher would really appreciate it if one of his parents had Pumpkin on his or her hand at all times. You can pretty much blame the lack of recent blog posts on Pumpkin's existence.

We went to the zoo and visited some deer...

 and goats...
 ...and goats...
 ...and goats...
...and goats!

Dallas and I got to go on a date night for our third wedding anniversary. As is our tradition, we had a picnic on the Barr Mansion grounds.  By some crazy stroke of luck, the reception barn was still under construction, so...
 ...whee!
Parenthood has utterly ruined us.
