Our visit to New York was well-timed. Not only did we get all the fun of a hurricane, but it was also Papa's birthday...which means one thing: cake!
Fletcher had a suggestion. He thought chocolate might be a good choice.
Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting...but that goes without saying, right?
Grandma also had a suggestion: candles!
I won't reveal how old Papa is...but I will say that by the time Fletcher reaches this age, he will have enjoyed 1,020 monthly cupcakes.
Also on the agenda for our trip: tricycle riding in the church parking lot. Papa gave Fletcher some pointers.
Fletcher humored him...
...until he left him in the dust.
How lucky can one kid get? One of the tires on Papa's bike got an unfixable flat, so we got to watch him load his bike onto the bike rack on his car! A bike! On a rack! On a car! Papa really goes the extra mile to entertain his grandson.
We saw this sign on the way home. Do you get it? It's funny, right? Airplanes don't go on train tracks! Get it?
