The event that toddlers in the know will be talking about all season:

The rodeo group had a collective birthday party at our favorite toddler-friendly joint, Joe's Cafe, or as Fletcher calls it: "Bud E.'s house".
This is Bud E., who came out the greet the birthday kids and then wisely made himself scarce:
It was a brunch party, so we the menu included breakfast tacos, fruit, mini-scones, mini-muffins, mimosas and bloody marys. The last two were a reward for any adults willing to go to a toddler birthday party at 9:00 AM.
And...cupcakes!

Carrot cake, yellow with cream cheese/chocolate frosting, chocolate with mint frosting, and yellow with white frosting and sprinkles. Eight dozen altogether...I mean, we couldn't risk running out of cupcakes, could we?

The kids were entertained with an empty pool and a bunch of balls...

...several giant trucks (is anyone surprised to see Fletcher in this picture?)...

...a sand pit...

...Fletcher's beloved Ikea tunnel...

...and a ride-on toy. I'm pretty sure that he eventually let other kids have a turn on it.
There were many kids.

Many,
many kids.

Happy Birthday to the Fab Four!
Don't fret, partygoers. There will be lots of photos of all of you belting out your karaoke favorites in the next post.
