The Perfect Tree

We went to the Optimists' tree lot, as we do every year, for our Christmas Tree. All the proceeds are donated to children's charities.

Baby Kranshaw was dressed in her holiday finest.

Fletcher requested something Christmas-y to wear, and fully enjoyed wearing reindeer antlers for about two minutes.

They don't look right until you get them just so, you know?

G-doll upstaged everyone, the way she does.

I love my son.

Fletcher announced that he wanted a tree "just as tall as Mama". No taller, no shorter. We found a lovely tree, but it was about 6 inches too tall. Dallas leaned it over a little bit, I stood near it on a small rise, and Fletcher decreed it "good". And that's how you pick a Christmas tree.

And then a guy came and put our tree on top of our car! This was very, very interesting.

On the way home, we talked about the tree, the red string it was tied with, and what the tree and string might be thinking about.
