Fletcher helped me make the soda bread. We didn't make any this year - the idea of soda bread made with faux buttermilk and served with faux butter just made me a little sad. Oh well, there's always next year!

St. Patrick's Day 2011
Yeah, when I said I was behind in blogging, I really meant it. Here are pictures from last year's St.Patrick's day green fro-yo outing. I'm sure Louisa, who was then about the size of a walnut, was enjoying herself in utero.

A few random photos from the past few weeks...
Once again, I am way behind on blogging the adventures of our awesome, busy kids. Someday I might finally put up the rest of the pictures from last year's trip to Italy. We'll see.

Fletcher wanted Kranshie to have a shirt that said "Little Sister Louisa", and insisted that it be the same colors as his beloved "Big Brother" shirt. Luckily, a good fairy on Etsy.com was able to make that happen. I wanted to get their picture together in their matching shirts, but Fletcher was "too busy" - you know how it is.

Louisa was apparently listening more closely than I thought all those times that I insisted that she was absolutely edible.

New Item on the Wish List
The RV Expo came to town a few weeks ago. That's right, the RV EXPO. And not only that, but it was held at the Convention Center. And the best way to get to the Convention Center just happens to be the TRAIN. I think we can all see where this is headed.
Fletcher and I, along with his friend, Maisy, went to see what there was to see.
It was a rainy day, so he wore his firefighter raincoat. Maisy borrowed G-doll's jacket.
On our way!
A three year old in his natural habitat: behind the wheel of a six ton, $800,000 vehicle.
Maisy and Fletcher cozy up on the top bunk.
Well, for a while.
It's nice to have your own space sometimes.
The Convention Center is also known (in some circles) for its high-quality escalators.
Bye, Convention Center!

Easter Day 2012
The bunny came! Maisy and Dotty were hiding a purple sparkly egg in their fire truck.
Not only did the clever bunny find the hidden carrot outside, but it brought the plate back in, left a thank you note and filled Maisy's and White Puppy's baskets with jelly beans.
You know, White Puppy and Maisy don't actually like jelly beans all that much.
Reading "Make Way for Ducklings".
On the hunt
That bunny is no match for Fletcher's climbing skills.
Explaining cascarones (confetti eggs) to Louisa. I imagine this conversation will go a little differently next year when she's a toddler getting into his stuff all the time.
He likes socks, I swear.
Enjoying bunny shaped pancakes with his new best friend, the Poky Little Puppy
Reading "Ducklings" again with Grandma Bonnie.
No explanation needed, I think.
Come on, we all knew this was inevitable.
Oh, don't listen to her. I do not do this all the time.
Later on, we showed off our other set of bunny ears to all the hipsters at Contigo.

Charlottesville, Part 3
We had a big outing planned for our last day in Virginia. Dallas, Fletcher and I fortified ourselves with a giant brunch. Louisa rested up on my lap in anticipation of...
...our outing to Louisa, VA!
These pictures were taken outside a historic train depot, and where there's a historic train depot, there must be...
...train tracks!
Back and forth and back and forth for as long as we'll let him, saying "Chugga chugga choo choo" the whole time.
Also in Louisa, VA: part of what must have been the world's largest guitar, at least according to my son.
They really know how to make a girl feel welcome around here!
My cousin and her family live in Louisa, but they were out of town for the weekend. They thoughtfully left behind a few of the horses on their farm so we could see and be seen by them.
Saying goodbye to Jeep - Fletcher was consoled by the fact that Jeep was going to have exciting new adventures with the next people lucky enough to rent him. He suggested that we get Jeep back the next time we need a rental car. I told him we'd do our best.
Watching the luggage get loaded on the plane, with Maisy for company.
