Fourth of July Eve

We take the holidays very seriously in the Sandick household. Here is Fletcher preparing the dye for the traditional Fourth of July Eggs.

It's important to make sure you have the water/Paas/vinegar ratio just right, or this whole exercise is pointless.

He used patriotic colors: blue and (light) red.

Wait, you mean not everyone is familiar with the song "The Egg" from the classic American musical "1776"? The one where Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams sing about hatching the egg of Liberty? Huh. How about that.

He finished the evening by enjoying a dinner of cold kidney beans and room-temperature sweet potato fries, both served with a light coating of organic ketchup. Mmm!
