Fletcher pretends to eat the picture of Christmas cookies that was hidden behind door #1 in his advent calendar, sent to him by his Tante Ruth and Uncle Ken.
He was way more interested in playing with the blue twine and sticks than in picking out a Christmas tree.
But Christmas lights? Okay, those are fun.
Really, really fun.
Fletcher enjoys his hot cocoa very much. - but he prefers it served at room temperature, with an ice cube.
He supervised while Dallas hung up a sock (the biggest we could find) for St. Nicholas.
His favorite gift in his "stocking" was the blown glass ornament shaped like a school bus.
A glittery, sparkly school bus.
There was about five minutes of delighted play before the expected tragedy stuck.
Luckily, St. Nicholas had informed me that replacement ornaments could be had
for $2.50 at World Market, so we stocked up on them later that afternoon. We're down to two.
Marzipan pigs!
Fletcher tries a pig.
Marzipan pigs - not popular with two-year-olds, as it turns out. Happily, they are very popular with certain mothers of two-year-olds.
Far more successful than marzipan: paint tubes, fuzzy stickers....
...a book about chickens...
And trains!
And a gingerbread man! Not pictured: the harmonica that set off the current craze among local toddlers.
